The Wisdom of Tai Chi: Ancient Roots, Modern Healing

About This School

This is not just a place to learn Tai Chi.

This is a place to return to yourself.

Our school was founded on the belief that movement can be more than health — it can be a pathway to emotional clarity, internal balance, and a deeper sense of self.

We teach the principles of Tai Chi with respect for tradition, but our focus is personal: How does this art help you live?

Each class is designed not just to train the body, but to quiet the noise, restore the breath, and reconnect you with the part of yourself that often gets buried beneath responsibility, stress, or disconnection.

Whether you're here to build discipline, regain vitality, or simply feel more grounded in your own skin — this is a place where you can move at your own pace, in your own rhythm, without judgment.

Welcome to a space of return.

Why

A Complete Path to Mind-Body Wellness

At Healing Flow Tai Chi, we don’t just teach movement—we guide you through a whole-person practice rooted in ancient wisdom and supported by modern understanding of health and healing. Our classes are designed around eight key elements that work together to nurture resilience, inner calm, and vitality:

  • Mindful Awareness – Train your attention and awaken presence in every movement.

  • Intention and Visualization – Use the mind to direct energy, focus, and purpose.

  • Structural Alignment – Develop posture and balance that support strength and ease.

  • Breath and Energy – Learn to coordinate breath with movement and harness life force (Qi).

  • Active Relaxation – Release tension while staying alert and engaged.

  • Natural, Functional Movement – Move in ways that support everyday wellness and longevity.

  • Social Connection – Practice in a warm, inclusive community that uplifts and supports.

  • Dedicated Practice – Build steady habits that reinforce healing and growth over time.

This integrative approach makes Tai Chi a deeply restorative, empowering, and transformative practice—accessible to all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels.

Join us and experience the full flow of what Tai Chi can offer—physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Meet Iuri

I didn’t build this school because I wanted to teach Tai Chi.

I built it because I needed a place where my whole self could exist.

I’ve lived in systems where emotions were dismissed, expression was discouraged, and connection was conditional. For years, I adapted — quietly. I shut down parts of myself to keep the peace. I minimized my voice to avoid conflict.

And slowly, I disappeared from my own life.

Tai Chi became the one space where I felt real again. Not because it offered escape — but because it invited me to feel. To move. To listen to my body. To stand on my own two feet, inside my own energy.

This school was born from that return.

It’s not just a place to learn movement — it’s a container for reclamation.

For anyone who’s ever felt unseen, disconnected, or overwhelmed by life’s noise — this is where you begin to gather yourself back. Breath by breath. Step by step.

I’m not here to give you answers. I’m here to hold space while you reconnect with the ones you already carry.

Roots & Growth

I began my Tai Chi journey in Spring 2014 in Boston, studying under Dr. Peter Wayne at the Tree of Life Tai Chi Center. My training included:

  • The Eight Active Ingredients of Tai Chi

  • Master Cheng Man-Ching's 37-Movement Short Form

  • Taoist Medical Qigong and Meditation

In Spring 2018, I began practicing Push Hands, further deepening my understanding of Tai Chi principles.

In the Autumn of the same year, I continued my Qigong journey with Anthony Korahais at the Flowing Zen Qigong Academy, bringing fresh insight and renewed structure to an already developing practice.

After relocating to Seattle in Spring 2019, I continued refining the Cheng Man-Ching Short Form at the Seattle School of Tai Chi Chuan.

As my journey progressed, I began formal training to teach and stepped into my role as an instructor:

  • Spring 2023 – accepted into the B1 Apprenticeship Program at the Tai Chi Foundation

  • Fall 2023 – began teaching the first third of Master Cheng Man-Ching's 37-Movement Short Form

  • Spring 2024 – enrolled in the Eight Active Ingredients of Tai Chi Teacher Training Program

  • Spring 2025 – founded the Healing Flow Tai Chi Center

This is where breath becomes truth.

We’ll move through it together, one breath at a time.
